Overall this is a good place for a multi family stay in SunRiver. The biggest positive for our family was the proximity to Fort Rock Park and Pickleball courts. The hot tub is in good shape. I think some of the amenities could use some updating. The foosball table is in rough shape and all the tires on the bikes were flat. The bikes are also in pretty rough shape.(Just fyi in case you need them). The back deck is old, so many screws are sticking up that it is easy to cut your feet. We avoided walking barefoot on the deck after someone cut their foot. The Central A/C for the house broke the day we arrived. The property mgmt company did their best to remedy the situation by supplying us 3 portable units for the bedrooms, which was appreciated. Though there were 4 rooms and 1 of our party had a hard time sleeping the whole trip because the room was hot until midnight each night. They refunded us $100 of the $5000 but honestly that didnÕt come close to making up for the sleep deficit.

The layout of this property is great and it feels pretty modern--the hardwood floors are nice and the beds were very comfortable! However, I think a few improvements would make this a stellar rental. The shower heads could easily be replaced with something like the HOPOPRO 5 mode high pressure head for about $15-$20 each and the showers would be 10 times more enjoyable. The bathroom fan downstairs is EXTREMELY loud, and that should be replaced. The TV system is quite confusing to get to cable channels--I recommend an instruction card that explains how to get there. It took us calling Village Properties to be told how to get the three remotes to do what wanted--it is NOT intuitive. With World Cup going on we often wanted to have those games playing when we were home and it was a challenge. The Wi-Fi also cut out multiple times when watching games which was also frustrating. Renters should know that this house is super convenient to Fort Rock Park, but this also means in the evening when going to bed with the windows open there was often quite a bit of noise coming from the park, either pickleball or just people goofing around and talking loudly. If you are a light sleeper this could be an issue. Additionally, there is surprisingly more cars using the road behind the house (East Cascade) overnight than one would think which added to the noise level. There is no real pantry to store food, so you have to use the area with the washer/dryer or a closet where everything goes on the floor. While the house does have three bathrooms, the downstairs bathroom is part of the primary bedroom, so if you don't want to go upstairs every time to use a bathroom, you will be going through the downstairs bedroom to use one. Having said all that, this home is in otherwise great shape, large dining room table for gathering, the front deck is quite pleasant with the Adirondack chairs, the couches and chairs in the common area were comfortable, and the bedrooms have ample space. With just a few improvements/repairs, this house would be fantastic!

This home was a bullseye for our three generation gathering. The location was directly across from Fort Rock Park. The bikes were in great working order - bring your own helmets. The house was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped! We will be back!

Very Cozy

Great location and the home has a very cozy feel. We easily fit three families into the space and never felt crowded. Plenty of bathrooms was also a plus. 5 minute drive from stores, restaurants, big pool center, and more - or a 20 minute walk. Just 20ish minutes to Bend for more options. Was a good value for the money. As many reviews noted there are minimal supplies and no shampoo so bring your own or pay $10+ for a large bottle at the nearby store. Only downside was they were slow to respond (note - our stay was over New Years week).

Good house for gathering

A good house for gathering a family - just across the street from Fort Rock Park. It was recently remodeled so that was nice. However, we were a bit disappointed that the house did not have some of the regular basics most houses have (cooking oil, plastic wrap, shampoo, hand soap).

We had a great trip at this house with our 3 kids and extended family. It is a perfect house/location for larger families/groups, especially those with kids. The playground is literally right across the street and the bike path is right there too; SHARC and the village are a very short drive and could probably be walked or biked if you wanted. The house and hot tub were clean, the kitchen and towels/linens were extremely well stocked (plenty of dishes including kid-friendly dishes), and there were lots of games and puzzles. The bikes in the garage could use a little TLC but still worked fine for us as casual riders just riding with our kids. The layout of the house is great and there is plenty of privacy for multiple families if needed. Would highly recommend and will plan to return in the future!

We loved staying here. Two grandmas, a grandpa, mom and dad, a d three little grandsons - it was just right. So handy to Fort Rock Park just across the street. Right on the bike path so could go anywhere on a bike. The little boys loved the bedroom with the big pine bunkbed setup and having a foos ball game right there in their bedroom . This house is older but very clean. The front deck was nice to sit out and have coffee in the morning. The back deck is nice but right by the road so traffic can be busy at times. The location was good as Fort Rock park is across the street and easy access to the bike trails. The house has bikes but most of them are in need of repairs and we had to repair a few to have enough for the family to ride. The owners need to put some money into bike repairs as they have several that do not work. I did like the open floor plan and rooms were good size. Beds were ok but could use new mattress in a couple of the bedrooms. Overall a good long weekend with family. - Anonymous from Eugene

Location near Ft. Rock Park was great. The house was spacious with a good layout. Kitchen was super-well equipped. Some of the furniture was low quality (wiggly chair legs, cabinet doors that wouldn't close).
