We had a great family thanksgiving with 10+ people/kids and the overall size of the house was a good fit for our family. Unfortunately, the kitchen itself was not well stocked with items given the size of the home. Small number of general cookware and serving items which made it very challenging to manage a large group. Beds are quite low quality and a bit uncomfortable; the bathrooms are very outdated and shower heads are terrible as it is like a garden hose spraying at you (easy fix). The home has a huge garage with ping pong and foosball table, but the house did not have a second refrigerator which makes it challenging for a rental this size to host a family gathering (easy to provide). There is only 1 dishwasher, which was good but again with such a large home it should really have 2. The home layout was good as the upstairs family area was a great place to visit, eat, and play games. The woodburning fireplace was nice, but we had limited wood provided. Keep in mind the fan in the family room needs to be spinning the right direction to not pull smoke into the house! Working with Village Properties (VP) was great, they were friendly, helpful, and very responsive. Check in / check out process was very simple and nice! When we contacted VP for additional kitchen items, firewood, linens, and bath towels they were very responsive to supply additional items rather quickly. This was appreciated, although, this should have already been available in the home. We have been coming to Sunriver for over a decade during the holidays and some minor updates to this home could really help to keep it at a similar level to other large homes in the area. I would recommend the home and management property to others, but as I said there are some limitations to be aware of before booking. – Anonymous from Beaverton
