Total Lunar Eclipse (Blood Moon) – March 2026

March 3 @ 12:40 am - 6:25 am
Free
Blood Moon Total Lunar Eclipse

View a unique total lunar eclipse that will color the moon in gorgeous orange hues early on the morning of March 3, 2026. It’s known as a blood moon, which occurs as the Earth moves between the sun and the moon. When the Earth’s shadow completely covers the lunar surface, shorter blue wavelengths scatter in Earth’s atmosphere, while longer red and orange wavelengths bend through it. This gives the moon its coppery glow that you will want to see with your own two eyes.
