We had a wonderful stay at Jackpine Lane. The location was perfect as it was so easy to walk to the village & lodge. The house was set up nicely for three families. It was great to have the enclosed large deck for kids or pets. We had an issue with the water heater & Mark had it repaired quickly! Mark was very responsive & helpful. The layout of the house was nice. One thing to know is that the AC upstairs didn’t cool it nearly as well as downstairs. Some of the furniture is dated, but the place is cozy and comfortable. I’ve stayed all over Sunriver. This is my favorite location we have stayed. Great house for families. The pictures are accurate. We enjoyed our stay.

The place was great, really appreciated the passes to Sharc and all the bikes. Very close to village and fit our multigenerational family get together well. I would recommend.

We also had family at Jackpine 8. Wonderful patio area worked well for large crowd. Had problems with freezing cold temperatures downstairs and hot upstairs in bedrooms. There were also ants in bathrooms and kitchen. Outside refrigerator didn’t work well which was only discovered after large amt of ice cream melted. The kitchen was poorly stocked but were able to borrow from Jackpine 6 (utensils were returned). Previous renters must have had dogs as the hair was still present on couch. With both houses we were able to have a wonderful family reunion. Thank you. Ginger

We loved the location of this home in Sunriver, easy to walk or bike to the village, river, golf course and lodge!! Great home with plenty of space for different ages of cousins to gather, play games, etc. The deck is large with plenty of seating and the fence offered privacy. We would choose this home again!

Mark and Kate provided quick responses to my questions and their place has everything a family needs. I especially liked the kids room personalized stuffed animals on the beds! The dog gift, towel, and sheet were a fun surprise.

This spot was perfect for our extended family! Plenty of space to spread out but also be together. The stuffed animals on the kids beds was such a cute touch. Location excellent, beds comfy, awesome hot tub. Loved it!

The house was perfect for a small adult birthday party! I loved that it was all one floor so no one felt isolated or alone ever. Super comfy beds & couch. Very clean & well stocked. Great house & the property managment was wonderful & helped me make changes to the reservation when needed very promptly!

We really enjoyed the encolsed back deck and hot tub! We spent most of our time out there and it was very peaceful. The hosue is spacious, plenty of room for all of us. The only disappointment was the AC does not keep it cool and doesn't get to the upstairs at all. It does coold down at night but some of the screens were broken. We also weren't able to check in until closer to 6:30, the housekeeping staff was very nice and let us put our groceries in the fridge at 4:30 when we arrived to check in. It would have been nice to receive a phone call or text from the property manager letting us know check in was delayed so we could have waited to get groceries and planned our arrival differently.

The deck and hot tub feel very private with the fencing which was really nice. The large dining room table was also well equipped to handle a large group of people all eating together, super awesome! The main living room off the kitchen is much smaller than the pictures make it look, same with the kitchen. It was nice having two living rooms that gave more division of space. Unfortunately, although I called to confirm a day before arriving that the stove had been fixed after reading the other reviews and was assured that it had been, only two of the burners worked. The location was good and having the bikes in the garage was nice. I would probably look at other properties first before staying here again. - Anonymous from Portland

Nice house for the number of people we had, including a dog. It was nice to find a place with a fenced in yard area (although a bit overgrown!). Kitchen was well stocked, but disappointed that the stove was still having issues after reading reviews from 9 months ago. We did have to call maintenance once due to the front door separating from the frame. They arrive within 20 minutes and fixed it. We enjoyed much needed family time. I love how roomy this house was you could have privacy or have enough room to gather. The house needs some work though. The stove top was worthless. Sometimes it would work sometimes it wouldn’t sometimes it would just stop working while cooking. It was horrible. Beds were not great at all. Overall the house and furnishings need an update. We have been visiting Sunriver for over 30 years and have been in numerous rental homes. We booked Jackpine 8 on short notice, so we were just happy to find a house that fit for our extended family. Village Properties was great and was super helpful to get us in the house early! The house itself is pretty tired compared to the other houses we've stayed in. The bad: The mattresses were uncomfortable, the house is very dated and needs a good refreshing, the stovetop is HORRIBLE - you have to jiggle the elements to make them work, the internet is very slow, the fenced in area of the backyard is incredibly overgrown and, unfortunately, the air conditioner malfunctioned while we were there (that said, Village did a great job at getting it fixed as soon as we called.) The good: The hot tub was clean and functioned great, the table inside was a great size for a larger group AND there were plenty of chairs outside for outside eating (the fenced in area is a big plus!), the bedroom set up was perfect for our group, kitchen was VERY well stocked, the location is fantastic and easy to find, the two different living areas gave us a nice way to separate the kids from the adults and it was very clean overall. Bottom line, this is an average house that is well suited for larger groups that don't care about luxury. I'm not sure we will choose it again, but we still enjoyed our stay and had a great time! - Jody L. from Eugene

Jackpine 8 is designed for families with children.Our extended family of grandparents,plus kids and grandkids, felt like we had enough room because there were multiple areas for visiting and the kitchen is open to the eating area, and the table fits at least 10. The enclosed patio accomodated our large family for all meals and impromptu talent shows and games. There was seating for 12 on the patio, plus 10 inside the kitchen from the patio. The kitchen is well equipped for many cooks. There is a second refrigerator in the garage. The grandkids loved the "movie theatre" room- the loft area above the second living area- but it does not have a/c or any windows- basically a finished attic accessed by a separate staircase. The decor is a little dated, but that relieved any anxiety if kids spilled something, or tracked some dirt from outside.The carpet is beige so dirt doesn't show. A/C worked great, except in the "twin beds" room. Plenty of hot water. There are 6 adult cruiser bikes and 5 kids bikes to use- that saves a lot on bike rentals. The property is on a loop of only 10 houses, so it is safe and private. Walking distance to a market. Comes with 10 SHARC passes, SHARC is a bike ride away. Kids loved the large hot tub, and the large driveway for games and the ping pong table in garage. Plenty of towels/ linens. Beds were comfortable. Management was super- I forgot items and they mailed them back to me cheerfully. We drove about 15 min. to start the river float, about 30 min for white water rafting. The trailhead to water fall is a 10 min. drive. Management cheerfully agreed to an early check in and late check out. We prepared all meals in house, with one restaurant visit in Bend, about 20 min away. Costco and Walmart are in Bend- pick up your groceries there. Other activities we liked were frisbee golf, free rock wall climbing by the SHARC,tennis privileges with SHARC passes. Property was clean and well-maintained. We hope to return next year.

This home fits our family needs in terms of bedrooms, bathrooms, ability to have a dog, fenced yard, AC and location near the lodge.The home was very clean and with the Covid that was important to us. There was a mixup on time to get entry to property that Brad (in the office) acknowledged but even with that the cleaning crew got us in at 3:30 to a very clean home.When I called the office on day 1 about the garbage and stove, it was Immediately taken care of. The new dishwasher was nice to have. The amount of kitchen needs like plates etc. is nice to have.NegativesThe backyard is and has been very overgrown - definitely an eyesore. We had a few umbrellas outside but this year only one on the back deck. The upstairs bathroom continues to run. Last year they came by and fixed it while we were there. The chain keeps getting loose. Although we settled into the home and an hour later got notice that Bachelor closed due to the coronavirus, we decided to stay and enjoy the roomy home. Plenty of space for everyone to have their privacy.Well-equipped home and kitchen made preparing food easy, and the table...we all could gather around and enjoy the company.Ping pong table and other toys in the garage, the private Jacuzzi (accessible from 3 slider doors) on the back deck, and the 2 family rooms allowed classic movies in one while watching snow skiing in the other.All in our party said the beds were comfortable and would like me to reserve it again next year. - Maurice R. from Eugene
