Comfy and spotless in a quiet area close to everything. Hard to find a reasonably priced private home with a hot tub, and this is one of the few. Highly recommended

Home was great, close to SR village and Sharc. There are lots of extra amenities to use during our stay. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again! I couldn't find any scissors, which would have been helpful several times during our stay. Otherwise, it was a great place and had everything we needed for our stay

Great location just a short walk from the village. There are a few freight trains that run on the track behind the house, but they don't blow the whistle and all you hear is the rumbling sound of the train. It wasn't annoying or super loud. If you are looking for an upscale house, this isn't it. The finishes and furnishings are a bit dated, but are in great condition and were totally fine for us. It is well maintained and very clean. We had everything we needed. Plenty of linens including beach towels for the SHARC pool and lots of extra blankets and pillows in the closets. You won't find coffee, extra food or condiments left from previous vacationers in the kitchen cupboards or fridge. There are a few basic spices but that's it. The kitchen is well-equipped though. Plenty of dishes, cups, glasses. utensils and small appliances. The only thing about the kitchen is that the fridge makes occasional strange noises -- perhaps the ice maker (?). So if someone is going to sleep on the sofa bed in the living room, that might be annoying. We brought our dog along and this place works great for a pet. If you are going to ride bikes, bring your own helmet. Those provided are in very rough shape. We would stay here again if we return to Sunriver.

Great location and comfortable stay

Good location, walkable to the store and restaurants. Comfortable beds. Large living room. In the garage we found bikes that we use. Already book another stay. The kitchen did not have dish soap, no coffee or tea. And we had to buy shampoo and body wash. Usually these things are always available in the rental places I book, so I didn't think to bring them with me this time. Next time I'll take them with me. The sign on the table said that with a pet fee we were provided dog treats and blankets. But we could not find it. I am glad I brought my own.

Clean, comfortable and spacious. Good for a family. The BBQ and Hot Tub were nice. It is an easy (1/2 mile) walk to the Village. We enjoyed the occasional train that went by. The Hot Tub Cover is old and too heavy for two people to maneuver.

This is our second time staying at Mark & Kate’s. We love the location and ability to walk to village. Bikes and hot tub are nice amenities. Plenty of room for our family of six. Nice setup for pets as well.

The home was just as described. Beds are comfortable, kitchen has all the things you would need and very clean. We chose this house because it was pet friendly and had a hot tub. We spent the early morning outside and it was cold, so we couldn’t wait to get back and enjoy the hot tub. But to our surprise it had half the amount of water. I reached out to Mark & Kate and in less than 10 minutes the hot tub guys arrived. They found one of the pipes had sprung a leak. They fixed it ASAP! The hot tub guys were super nice and even asked what we would like the temp set to and by the time we were home late that night from sitting outside at very cold and windy baseball games we were able to enjoy it. They even had a dog bowl, ball, treat and poo bags for us to use and keep and an extra large kennel in case you need to leave pets home. Everything you could need they had. It was a very comfortable stay.

My family and I spent thanksgiving holiday break. The place was clean, Kitchen stocked with utensils, pots, pans, plates and most what you'd every need in a kitchen. We were able to enjoy our thanksgiving dinner on their nice size dining table and play games and connect with our loved ones. Our pups loved the place too. We ran into an issue with the wifi where it was inaccessible 3 out of the 4 days we spent there. Turns out the internet box wasn't working and the internet company had to come out for a couple of hours to do work to fix it. That put a little damper but we made the best of it. Ben, the maintenance person was nice to deal with. There is a train that passes 2 times a day right next to the property. We got used to that after day 1. We didn't use the passes but having them was a nice gesture. Communication with property management was a little less than ideal throughout the booking process from the beginning but Amy was a pleasure to work. Overall, we had a good time.

Good deal with good sites to see and things to do but they need to buy a new bed. Didn’t get much sleep and almost left early due to how bad the sleep was and the pain we felt each morning. Owners definitely have the house paid off at this point and if I’m going to spend almost $1000 to stay and have fun I should have a nice bed with that price tag.

I noticed comments from 2020 about the hard bed, water logged hot tub cover, and super tiny TV and they are all still issues. I had to sleep on the couch since the bed was so hard. TV is not a modern smart TV so unable to stream anything. Jets in the hot tub are clogged and should work if cleaned. Couldn’t access the hot tub completely due to heavy, water logged lid. These issues have gone on for 3 years! Inexpensive to fix and I’m not sure why it has t been done yet. I run Airbnbs and beds are important! The 5-inch spring mattress is long past its life and shouldn’t be in a vacation rental. Spend a few hundred dollars on Amazon and the place will receive 5 stars over and over.

The house is fully equipped with everything we needed for a great stay. We really liked the warm welcome for our two pups, having bikes available to explore the rising paths and the perfect location. We liked being able to walk to the village for coffee in the morning and dinner in the evening. The ShARC passes were great and the facilities were beautiful. The house was clean, quiet and had everything we needed for a great stay. We will come again!

House was great! Kitchen well equipped with appliances/pot/pans (although could use some additional silverware). Nice, new flooring (vs. carpet) meant no pet smell. The house was in a great location, a quick 5 minute walk to the village. Unfortunately, the beds were very uncomfortable. Also, the hot tub cover weighed SO MUCH. And in the small place where the hot tub is, it’s very awkward to get on and off. It took all 4 of us girls to get it back on after using it. I didn’t realize the SHARC was closed on Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s which was a huge bummer because those were the days we were there. Definitely not a fault to property though. We just had to find other things to keep us busy. Also, the TV in the living room was super tiny. Like, itty bitty. We weren’t there to watch TV of course but when we wanted to relax before bed and watch something it was impossible. Beds were horrible, not use to sleeping on a old spring mattress that’s very firm. We couldn’t use some of the amenities Like the hot tub lid Was water logged and too heavy to lift off, the BBQ grill was rusty and the burners were blown out, tea pot was rusted inside. Good things, the house must have been well insulated because the train was close but not loud at all. The AC Worked great. Close to Village. House was close to everything we needed - Village stores, SHARC (and came with passes!), bike trails. It was also close to the train tracks, but the trains were not so bad or so often at night. House was very clean and supplied with everything we needed, and then some (we brought our own bikes, but they had some there, too). The hot tub cover needs to be replaced, however. It's gotten moisture-logged and is really heavy - but the hot tub itself is just fine. Nice wooded area behind the house. Dog loved that (on lease only, of course). Deck is pretty small but indoor spaces are open and lovely. All in all, a satisfying, relaxing, fun time. - Barbara D. from Oregon City

This house was great. It is reverse living so the main floor and very large deck are all on the upper floor and the deck is nestled in the trees. Very pretty. It was also very well stocked.
