SUMMARY:NICKEL CREEK AND ANDREW BIRD
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS NOW ON SALE. AVAILABLE ONLINE OR IN-PERSON AT THE TICKET MILL IN THE OLD MILL DISTRICT\nChair rentals available while supplies last.\n \nNote: chair set up location may be designated on show night.\n\n\n\nNickel Creek is mandolinist Chris Thile\, violinist Sara Watkins and guitarist Sean Watkins. Together a sum of more than their staggering parts\, the trio revolutionized bluegrass and folk in the early 2000s and ushered in a new era of what we now recognize as Americana music. After a stellar 2023 tour\, the Platinum-selling\, Grammy Award-winning trio are set to return highlighting their recent album\, “Celebrants” — a bounty of 18 disparate but loosely connected songs written collectively during a creative retreat in Santa Barbara in early 2021. The result is perhaps the most audacious yet accessible release of the Grammy-winning trio’s 34-year career. The entire enterprise is\, naturally\, shot through with the trio’s virtuosic picking and shiver-inducing harmonies. The lyrics — addressing love\, friendship\, time\, and the universal travails of travel — combine the poetic and plain-spoken\, hitting a sweet spot of ethereal and relatable as bridges are built\, crossed\, burned\, and rebuilt. \nAndrew Bird is an internationally acclaimed\, Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist\, vocalist\, whistler\, and songwriter who picked up his first violin at the age of four and spent his formative years soaking up classical repertoire completely by ear. Since beginning his recording career in 1997\, Bird has released 17 albums and performed extensively across the globe. He has recorded with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band\, appeared as “Dr. Stringz” on Jack’s Big Music Show\, and headlined concerts at Carnegie Hall\, Sydney Opera House\, Walt Disney Concert Hall\, Red Rocks Amphitheatre\, and festivals worldwide. \nMore recently\, Bird released a series of site-specific improvisational short films and recordings called Echolocations\, recorded in remote and acoustically interesting spaces: a Utah canyon\, an abandoned seaside bunker\, the middle of the Los Angeles River\, and a reverberant stone-covered aqueduct in Lisbon. Additionally\, Bird hosts an ongoing series of live-streamed performances called Live from the Great Room\, putting the creative process on display for fans as he collaborates and converses with friends in a candid\, intimate setting.

SUMMARY:The Decemberists
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS NOW ON SALE. AVAILABLE ONLINE OR IN-PERSON AT THE TICKET MILL IN THE OLD MILL DISTRICT\nChair rentals available while supplies last.\nNote: chair set up location may be designated on show night.\n\n\n\nFor over 20 years\, The Decemberists have been one of the most original\, daring\, and thrilling American rock bands. Founded in the year 2000\, The Decemberists’ distinctive brand of hyper-literate folk-rock set them apart from the start with the release of their debut EP 5 Songs in 2001. Since then\, the band has released nine full-length albums that are unbound by genre and highly ambitious\, ranging from Americana-leaning  storytelling epics to elements of 70’s prog and hard rock. \nNow the enduring indie band is back with their first new music in six years\, “Burial Ground.” Already a fan-favorite after being debuted live last year\, their latest single takes the overt fatalism of 2018’s “I’ll Be Your Girl” and infuses it with the jangle-pop of The Dentists and dreamy harmonies of The Beach Boys (performed with an assist from The Shins’ James Mercer). “‘Burial Ground’ is in that time-honored pop song tradition\, a paean to hanging out in graveyards\,” says songwriter Colin Meloy. “The melody hook came to me in a dream and I hummed it into my phone on waking. Most dream-songs are bad; this was the exception.” The Decemberists will bring more new music with them on tour this year summer. \nThe Head And The Heart\, an acclaimed indie folk band whose influences include Americana\, country-rock\, and classic Beatlesque pop\, was formed in Seattle by a group of Northwestern transplants. They broke into the mainstream in 2013 with the release of their sophomore outing\, “Let’s Be Still”\, which peaked at the number ten slot on the Billboard 200 and shot straight to the top of the U.S. Folk and Independent Albums charts. Subsequent efforts “Signs of Light” and “Living Mirage” reached the upper echelons of the U.S. and Canadian charts. In 2022\, the band issued their fifth LP\, “Every Shade of Blue”\, which included the hit single of the same name. \nThe past couple of years have been busy for The Head And The Heart. After releasing “Every Shade of Blue\,” the band commenced to headline sold-out shows all over North America on their Every Shade of Blue North American Tour\, and performed multiple times on national television\, everywhere from “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” to performing at the championship banner drop for “The Seattle Sounders”.

SUMMARY:Primus and Coheed and Cambria
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS ON SALE NOW. AVAILABLE ONLINE OR IN-PERSON AT THE TICKET MILL IN THE OLD MILL DISTRICT.\nChair rentals available while supplies last.\nNote: chair set up location may be designated on show night.\n\n\n\n“Tommy the Cat.” “John the Fisherman.” “Jerry Was A Race Car Driver.” “My Name is Mud.” “Wynona’s Big Brown Beaver.” Yessiree\, Primus is responsible for some of the most cutting edge and original rock music of the 1990’s. And now\, the definitive Primus line-up – singer/bassist Les Claypool\, guitarist Larry LaLonde\, and drummer Tim Alexander – is back together and planning on getting the worldwide masses bobbing up and \ndown in unison once more. \nAlthough originally formed in 1984\, it was not until shortly before the end of the decade that the aforementioned classic line-up was solidified. With most hard rock/heavy metal acts at the time either neatly falling into either “thrash” or “glam” categories\, Primus joined a variety of underground bands that refused to be pigeonholed (and by the early ’90s\, had fully infiltrated the mainstream) – merging metal\, funk\, alternative\, punk\, country\, roots rock\, and experimental music\, along with Claypool’s penchant for witty and often humorous storytelling lyrics. \nFor the last 20 years\, Coheed and Cambria have continuously broken the mold of what a rock band can be\, forging their own path and building a universe around their music unlike any other. Whether it is in the way their genre-spanning approach to songwriting has allowed them to bridge worlds without being contained to one\, or the multifaceted story arc of their albums and comic book series which mark the longest running concept story in music\, Coheed and Cambria have consistently shaped new standards\, never conformed. Comprised of Claudio Sanchez (Vocals / Guitar)\, Travis Stever (Guitar)\, Josh Eppard (Drums) and Zach Cooper (Bass) the band has gripped listeners and press around the globe with their visionary compositions and conceptual mastery. In 2018\, Coheed and Cambria made a stunning debut with their album “Vaxis I: The Unheavenly Creatures\,” which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s “Hard Rock Albums” chart\, #6 current sales and Top 15 on the “Billboard 200” chart.

SUMMARY:The Avett Brothers
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS NOW ON SALE. AVAILABLE ONLINE OR IN-PERSON AT THE TICKET MILL IN THE OLD MILL DISTRICT.\nChair rentals available while supplies last.\n\n  \nNote: chair set up location may be designated on show night.\n\n\nThree-time Grammy Award nominees The Avett Brothers made mainstream waves with their 2009 major label debut “I And Love And You.” In 2012\, “The Carpenter” hit #4 on the Billboard Top 200\, followed by “Magpie And The Dandelion” in 2013\, which debuted at #5. In 2016\, the band was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame. 2017’s documentary “May It Last: A Portrait of The Avett Brothers” (co-directed by Judd Apatow and Michael Bonfiglio) chronicles the process of writing 2016’s “True Sadness” (which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Albums chart\, #1 Rock Albums\, #3 on the Billboard 200 and scored two Grammy nominations). Their latest album “The Third Gleam” debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Americana/Folk Albums chart\, #1 Rock Albums\, and #1 Vinyl Albums. The centerpiece of “The Third Gleam\,” “I Go To My Heart” is elegant and stripped down\, representing the themes of love and redemption heard throughout the new record. Mentioned on NPR’s All Things Considered\, “The Avett Brothers take a step back from all that gloss and shine and just focus on the songwriting\, the harmonies and the dynamic between three musicians in a room. Hearing “The Third Gleam” is like stepping into a sunny\, peaceful clearing after hours of running through the woods.”

SUMMARY:Umphrey's McGee VS Blues Traveler
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS NOW ON SALE. AVAILABLE ONLINE OR IN-PERSON AT THE TICKET MILL IN THE OLD MILL DISTRICT.\nChair rentals available while supplies last.\nNote: chair set up location may be designated on show night.\n\n  \n\n\nIn the twenty-five years since eclectic improv-rock band Umphrey’s McGee formed\, their sound has been an amalgamation of genres\, moods\, and tempos\, effortlessly flowing from one feeling to the next throughout an album or concert—or sometimes within a singular song. But with time and repetition comes wisdom and maturity\, both personally and musically\, and in the case of the band’s new album “Asking For A Friend\,” Umphrey’s McGee e \nntered the recording studio with something to say and a wise\, measured way to say it. \nThe end result is an astoundingly cohesive fourteen-song album that feels like a fresh statement from a group of world-class musicians and friends reapproaching their craft with a new lens. But long-time fans will be happy to know that the Umphrey’s McGee they know and love is still very much present on “Asking For A Friend\,” just more refined. More focused. \nIn 1987 the four original members of Blues Traveler — John Popper\, Chandler Kinchla\, Brendan Hill\, and the late Bobby Sheehan — gathered in their drummer’s parent’s basement in Princeton\, NJ to jam. From these high school sessions emerged a band that would go on to release 14 studio albums and counting\, four of which have gone gold\, three platinum\, and one six – times platinum – selling more than 10 million combined units worldwide. Over an illustrious career Blues Traveler has played over 2\,000 live shows in front of more than 30 million people\, and\, in “Run – Around\,” had the longest – charting radio single in Billboard history\, which earned them a Grammy for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. Their movie credits include “Blues Brothers 2000\,” “Kingpin\, Wildflowers” and others. A television favorite\, they have been featured on “Saturday Night Live\,” “Austin City Limits\,” “VH1’s Behind the Music” and they have the record for the most appearances of any artist on “The Late Show with David Letterman”. Blues Traveler’s latest effort\, 2021’s “Traveler’s Blues”\, is nominated for a Grammy in the category of “Best Traditional Blues Album\,” bringing their 35 + year journey full circle.

SUMMARY:Stray Cats
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS NOW ON SALE. AVAILABLE ONLINE OR IN-PERSON AT THE TICKET MILL IN THE OLD MILL DISTRICT\nChair rentals available while supplies last.\nNote: chair set up location may be designated on show night.\n\n\n\nSTRAY CATS\, the band that put Rockabilly music back on the record charts in the early ’80s\, scored several big hits on both sides of the Atlantic thanks to a striking visual 1950’s style brought “up to date” with exaggerated pompadours and colorful tattoos and as well as genuine musical chops that evoked the best players of rockabilly’s original heyday. Formed by guitarist/vocalist Brian Setzer\, upright bass player Lee Rocker and drummer Slim Jim Phantom in the Long Island town of Massapequa\, NY\, in 1979\, the trio shared a love for Rockabilly music. After banging around New York for a few months\, in the summer of 1980\, and seeing a pompadoured kid on the cover of UK magazine NME\, they hopped a plane to London where a rockabilly revival movement was just beginning to emerge. Their massive hits and videos include “Runaway Boys\,” “Rock This Town\,” “Stray Cat Strut” “(She’s) Sexy + 17\,” and “I Won’t Stand in Your Way.” And they’re coming to rock the town of Bend\, Oregon this summer – get ready!
