DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\nSATURDAY\, NOVEMBER 18\, 2023 \nHoliday fun for the entire family at Grand Illumination – Sunriver Resort’s tree-lighting ceremony and fireworks show! After \n\n  \n\na two-year hiatus\, we are excited to bring back this wonderful kickoff to the Traditions season. This year’s celebration includes a visit from Santa\, live music and entertainment\, train rides\, telescope viewings\, hot cocoa\, putt-putt\, huggable characters\, holiday shopping\, and more. While you are here\, enjoy food from local vendors or reserve a table in the Main Lodge at Lodge Kitchen or Owl’s Nest. There will be live entertainment on the outdoor stage in the Backyard and holiday shopping in the Merchant Trader. \nEvent schedule: \n12 pm – 4:30 pm \nPony rides in front of the Lodge (weather permitting)\, train rides\, bounce houses\, putt-putt \n12 pm – 5:15 pm \nRaffle ticket sales benefiting local nonprofit Wonderland Express \n2 pm – 7 pm \nOregon Observatory telescope viewing and holiday crafts \n2 pm \nSanta arrives \n2 pm – 5 pm \nNorth Pole open for Santa visits \n2:30 pm – 6:30 pm \n\n  \nLive music: Toast & Jam \n5:30 pm \nRaffle drawing \n5:45 pm \nTree Lighting with Santa \n5:55 pm \nFireworks followed by Holiday Light Show \n6 pm – 7 pm \nNorth Pole reopens for Santa visits \n*All activities are weather-dependent \nPARKING \nThere are two parking options are available to event attendees: \n1. VIP parking at the Sunriver Resort Lodge\, Great Hall\, Homestead and Bike Barn Parking Lots. A $20 cash donation to Wonderland Express\, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that provides families in need with a memorable holiday experience including a full holiday meal\, warm clothing\, grocery gift cards\, holiday gifts\, photos with Santa and much more. Donations are tax-deductible with 100% of proceeds going directly to Wonderland Express. \n2. Free parking at SHARC (Sunriver Homeowners Aquatic & Recreation Center) with shuttle transportation to the event provided and available from 3 pm – 7 pm. DESCRIPTION:Sunriver Ice Skating at the Village at Sunriver Ice arena has long been a family favorite. Enjoy hit music while you skate\, or watch skaters zoom by from the comfort of the viewing area. \nWe Rent Skates!\nDon’t have skates? No problem! We have skates ranging from a toddler size 7 through an adult size 15. \nEvery skater must have a waiver filled out to enter the ice with the day’s date listed. A parent or guardian must fill out a waiver for any skater under 18 years of age.
