Summer Sweepstakes: Win a 2-Night Stay in Sunriver

Any adult over the age of 23 can participate. No previous stay/purchase with Village Properties at Sunriver is required to participate. Participants must live in the United States and not within areas where this contest is void.

Employees of Village Properties At Sunriver, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes.

All submitted photos must have been taken by the participant. Photos need to depict some location in Central Oregon (anywhere within the Deschutes, Jefferson, and Crook counties.) Photos can include imagery of natural settings (skylines, mountains, rivers, etc.) or city locations (restaurants, parks, etc.) and can be with or without people. Photos with people in them can only be submitted if all recognizable individuals have given consent to their image being submitted.

Photos must be appropriate and cannot contain offensive elements such as nudity, explicit language, sexually explicit content, etc. Photos will be deemed appropriate and allowed to participate in the drawing at the discretion of the Village Properties at Sunriver staff.

All entries (either submitted through the entry form on this page or by sending an email to marketing@village-properties.com) must contain the following information:

• First and Last Legal Name of Participant
• Participant’s Valid Email and Phone Number
• 1-2 Photos Of Central Oregon Taken by the Participant
• A Statement Describing the Central Oregon Location of the 1-2 Photos Submitted

Any entry that does not include all of these required pieces of information will not be included in the participant pool when selecting a winner for that submission round.

Yes! If you submit photos in one submission period and you are not selected as the winner, you can submit again in the next period. However, only photos not previously submitted will be counted. Winners are not allowed to submit again.

Once you submit your entry, your name, contact information, and photos will be cataloged for later reference in case of winning. After winners are selected, participant data will be kept for 1 calendar year after the final day of the sweepstakes submission period (September 30, 2024). Afterward, the file with the details linking each participant to their email and phone contact and submitted photos will be deleted.

By entering the Sweepstakes you agree to receive email newsletters periodically from Village Properties at Sunriver. You can opt-out of receiving this communication at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the newsletter.

After a winner is selected from each round, all photos and their given locations will be kept on file for possible future use in items like social media postings. The first name and last name initial of each participant will be kept on file for a possible future shout-out if photos are used in items like social media posts. By submitting your photos, you give consent for Village Properties at Sunriver to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use, worldwide in any media now known or hereafter in perpetuity and throughout the World, your entry photos and location statements without any further compensation.

Information gathered during this Sweepstakes will never be sold to any entity and will only be used as described above and in the Sweepstakes Terms and Conditions.

Winners will be randomly selected from the submission pool within 4 days of the submission period window ending. Winners will be contacted and informed of their prize within 24 hours of being selected. Winners will have 48 hours from receiving their winning notification to respond to the Village Properties team to inform them of accepting their prize. If the winner does not reach out within that period of time, another winner will be selected from that submission round and the same steps will be followed until a winner accepts. Each submission round’s winner will be announced within 15 days after the submission period closes. Winners will be announced with a timeline post on the Village Properties Facebook and Instagram social media accounts.

If no winner has accepted their prize within 15 days of the submission period closing, a social media post on the Village Properties Facebook and Instagram social media accounts will go out stating so and a winner will continue to be randomly selected from the submission pool until a winner accepts their prize.

In order to stay in one of our vacation homes as a sweepstakes winner you must:

• Accept and sign our Rental Agreement that outlines all the home’s rules and requirements for guests staying there.
• Provide an active credit card to have on file to charge in case of damage to the home.
• Allow for a $55 credit to be charged to the provided credit card for incidental damage (covering up to $500), which will be refunded to the card given that the guests check out of the home with no incidental damage.
• Follow all home rules, including not bringing more than the number of guests that the unit can house (as stated on the unit’s listing on the Village Properties at Sunriver website.)
• We will require a photo of your group at the rental to be taken by a Village Properties team member, which will be posted on social media highlighting your winning stay.

If you choose to not follow these requirements, you will void your status as our sweepstakes winner and all prizes associated.

Once you are selected as the winner, you will be reached out to via phone and email to inform you of your prize. Once our team has reached out, you have 48 hours to inform us by phone or email that you’ve accepted your prize. After that, our reservation team will work with you to help you choose what days you will be visiting Sunriver and what home you will be staying in (chosen from a list of selected homes based on your preferred stay dates).

Yes! If you win a 2-night stay and wish to add additional nights to your reservation, you are more than welcome. Please know that by doing so, you will be responsible for all costs and fees normally associated with each night that you add.

Once you tell us you’ve accepted your status as a sweepstakes winner, you can immediately book your stay anytime from the day you accept till December 31, 2024. After 4 p.m. PST on December 31, 2024, your stay is no longer redeemable if it has not been booked.

1. Eligibility

Win a 2-Night Stay in Sunriver (the “Sweepstakes”) is open only to those who enter to win as outlined at the sweepstakes page located here (https://village-properties.com/summer-sweepstakes-2024/) and who are 23+ as of the date of entry. The sweepstakes is only open to legal residents of United States of America and is void where prohibited by law. Employees of Village Properties At Sunriver (the “Sponsor”), their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

2. Agreement to Rules

By participating, you agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Rules and as outlined at the sweepstakes page located here (https://village-properties.com/summer-sweepstakes-2024/), and you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements set forth herein. In addition, you agree to accept the decisions of the Sponsor as final and binding as it relates to the content. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.

3. Sweepstakes Period

Entries will be accepted online starting on July 01, 2024 at 12:00 AM PST , and ending on September 30, 2024 at 11:59 PM PST.  There will be 3 separate submission periods in which submissions will be received for a chance to win one of the three prizes, being:

July 01, 2024 12:00 AM PST – July 31, 2024 11:59 PM PST

August 01, 2024 12:00 AM PST – August 31, 2024 11:59 PM PST

September 01, 2024 12:00 AM PST – Septmeber 31, 2024 11:59 PM PST

All entries must be received by 11:59 PM PST on the final day of each submission period for a chance to win in that submission period.

4. How to Enter

The Sweepstakes must be entered by submitting an entry using the online form provided on the sweepstakes page located here (https://village-properties.com/summer-sweepstakes-2024/) or by sending an email with the required information (full name of participant, contact phone number, contact email, 1-2 photos taken by the participant, and the location of each submitted photo) to marketing@village-properties.com. The entry must fulfill all sweepstakes requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are not complete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. You may enter only two photos per submission period (there are 3 submission periods in total) and you must fill in the information requested as outlined at the sweepstakes page located here (https://village-properties.com/summer-sweepstakes-2024/). You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple email addresses, identities, or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules. If you use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules your submission may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.

5. Prizes

Winners will receive one of three 2-Night Stays at a Village Properties at Sunriver Vacation Home, each valued at $1000.

Actual/appraised value may differ at time of prize award. The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by the Sponsor. No cash or other prize substitution is permitted except at Sponsor’s discretion. The prize is non transferable. Any and all prize related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes shall be the sole responsibility of the winner. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by winners is permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use winner’s name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

6. Odds

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

7. Winner selection and notification

Winners of the Sweepstakes will be selected in a random drawing under the supervision of the Sponsor. Winners will be notified via email to the email address they entered the Sweepstakes with within one (1) day following the winner selection. Sponsor shall have no liability for a winner’s failure to receive notices due to winners’ spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for winners’ provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If the selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within 48 hours from the time award notification was sent, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and releases as required, prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.

Once the prize is claimed, winners will have until 4 p.m. PST on December 31, 2024, to book their 2-night stay in Sunriver. The prize will no longer be redeemable after 4 p.m. PST on December 31, 2024.

The receipt by winner of the prize offered in this Sweepstakes is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal and state laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY ANY WINNER (AT SPONSOR’S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN SUCH WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF THE SWEEPSTAKES AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.

8. Rights Granted by You

By entering this Sweepstakes you understand that the Sponsor, anyone acting on behalf of the Sponsor, or its respective licensees, successors and assigns will have the right, where permitted by law, without any further notice, review or consent to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use, worldwide in any media now known or hereafter in perpetuity and throughout the World, your entry, including, without limitation, the entry and winner’s name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image or statements about the Sweepstakes, and biographical information as news, publicity or information and for trade, advertising, public relations and promotional purposes without any further compensation.

9. Terms

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes should (in its sole discretion) a virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes. In such a case, Sponsor may select the recipients from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by Sponsor.

Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or website or violates these Terms & Conditions and rules further outlined in the sweepstakes page (https://village-properties.com/summer-sweepstakes-2024/).

Sponsor has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the Sweepstakes, to void entries for any reason, including, but not limited to; multiple entries (beyond the allotted 2 photos per submission period) from the same user from different IP addresses; multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed by sweepstakes rules; or the use of bots, macros or scripts or other technical means for entering. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Village Properties At Sunriver reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

By entering you agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from (i) such entrant’s participation in the sweepstakes and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof, (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunctioning of any computer, cable, network, hardware or software; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions or telephone or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; (v) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries.

11. Disputes

THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND OREGON WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this Sweepstakes, the participant agrees that any and all disputes which cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes, shall be resolved individually, without resorting to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Oregon having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will the participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, other than the participant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e. costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes), and participant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
