We always enjoy our vacations in Sunriver, we visit each year. We had to cancel our June vacation down there and re-scheduled for Sept after this crazy year due to COVID and all of the restrictions. My wife was a little hesitant to rent a house with everything going on, she works in the medical field. We had reviewed the cleaning policy and we felt confident with the procedures you had in place. We stayed at Acacia Lane 2. The house itself was great, nice and spacious and relaxing. The negatives were; most of the common areas in the kitchen, dining area, etc were filthy. We had brought some cleaning products with us in case we needed to clean some things or areas. Myself, my wife and our daughter cleaned all areas of the house when we first arrived. We were shocked to see how dirty the house actually was. The kitchen counters and floors were disgusting. Our lysol wipes were brown/dirty after cleaning all of the areas. In the master bedroom, the closet behind the bedroom door had a smell which I cannot describe. My sense of smell has been damaged by working in Law Enforcement for 22+ years. But even I could smell the tremendous odor coming from the closet. We had to wash the bed pillows on our first night down there, they actually smelled of someone’s else’s sweat which was disgusting. My wife ended up placing a towel over her pillow the entire time we were down there, even after washing them on our first night. So please don’t get me wrong, we enjoyed the house in general (great layout and spacious) but the cleanliness of the house was far below par. For the money we paid, we expected higher standards of cleanliness and we were disappointed. – Anonymous from Banks
