Many Wonderful Things

There were many wonderful things about our stay at 30 Vine Maple Lane. The location for access for our friends and family who joined us was excellent. We were able walk or ride bikes to the river easily, and drive to the village and the little church we attended both Sundays, with no problems. We had two groups of family and friends join us, each for a few days. We built memories of great food, wonderful conversation, chatting around the fire on the cooler days, a presidential debate on TV, a Washington Apple Cup football game, and many walks and bike rides on the beautiful trails. Our Labrador retriever, Buddy, who was born during Covid, learned to really swim in the Descutes on this trip. The kitchen was well supplied and appointed except there were not enough matching wine glasses when all 6 of us had wine. (I bought some nice matching glassware at the Sunriver lodge which we used while we were there and took home when we left.) When we wanted to set a nice table it was a little annoying to not have enough matching dishes to set a table for 6. And the dishwasher was situated such that you could not reach the cupboard to put the cups, glasses, and plasticware away from the dishwasher. However, these kitchen issues were really pretty minor in the big scheme of things. There were a couple of larger problems with our stay and the home that were handled excellently by your company: 1) The fire evacuation status #1 and #2 was handled very well. We were informed of how to be ready, how to be safe, and what to expect when the status changed. 2) The bee hive on the roof corner above the deck stopped us from using the deck to eat outside. Two people from your company and one person from the pest control company came to successfully deal with the problem. 3) The water pipes in the wall of the master suite downstairs made a thumping noise all night causing the one couple to lose a night’s sleep. We were able to trouble shoot that problem ourselves by just letting the faucet outside drip slightly to relieve the pressure. That worked like a charm. All in all, our stay at Sunriver’s 30 Vine Maple Lane was stellar. We would rate it 5 stars. Thank you so much.
